Middleburg Sidewalk Sale
The town of Middleburg will be hosting its eighth annual sidewalk sale August 1-3. At the event, a majority of the town’s stores come together to fill up two blocks worth of sales. Expect to find participants ranging from clothing stores to repair stores and business services.
Lou Lou Day Charity Event
Lou Lou Boutique will be hosting its third annual charity event on August 2. This year the store has chosen to help raise money for Dress for Success. The theme for the event is “It’s the Little Things” focusing on how little things like accessories can be easily overlooked, but they help bring extra flare to an outfit that will make a lasting impression. To participate with the event stop by any of their locations for the store wide sale of buy one get one half off and at the end of the event Lou Lou will donate 15 percent of the proceeds to Dress for Success.
Alexandria Sidewalk Sale
The annual sale will take place in Old Town Alexandria on August 9-10. Over 50 small businesses will participate offering promotions and sales. Look forward to markdowns up to 80 percent off on the summer’s trends from participating boutiques.
Pentagon City Mall Tax Free Weekend
Load up on fall necessities tax free at Pentagon City Mall from August 1- 3. The 2014 Tax Free Weekend allows shoppers to buy without state tax for school supplies each worth $20 or less and qualifying apparel pieces worth $100 or less. -Helen Ray
