Hello, shoppers! When we’re not busy letting you know all about the fantastic deals going on and the latest styles, we like to hear about what you fashionable local NoVA residents are wearing and where you’re shopping. This week, Jennifer Holder, the manager of Lou Lou Boutique in Leesburg, told me all about her fabulous personal style, how she loves to accessorize and which celeb she thinks her style most resembles (no, it’s not Lady Gaga).
Q: How would you define your personal style?
A: Chic and contemporary. I like to find the latest fashions.

Q: What is your favorite accessory or article of clothing?
A: Definitely my Lucchese cowboy boots. I will wear cowboy boots 365 days of the year; I love them.
Q: Do you have any favorite designers right now?
A: I love everything we carry at Lou Lou. Right now, I’m really enjoying Tribal, Theme, Suzi Chin and Tulle.
Q: What is your favorite jewelry accessory and designer?
A: I’m obsessed with jewelry of any kind. I especially love costume jewelry; I think it’s fun and out there. I like to have my earrings matching my necklaces, so I’m always on the hunt for matching jewelry. Ann Carney is a jewelry designer I like at the moment.
Q: Who inspires your style?
A: Definitely the owner of Lou Lou, Tara Wegdam. I love the things she picks out for the store; I do almost all my shopping here.
Q: Which celebrity would you say most resembles your own personal style?”
A: Hmm, I would say Julia Roberts. I admire her style; I just think she’s very classy.
Q: What style tips do you have for our readers?
A: Don’t be afraid to accessorize or go outside the box. So many people are stuck in their own box and are afraid to add color or do something outside their comfort zone. One thing I always tell customers is that things always look better off the hanger than on it, so I think it’s important to try things on, even if you think it won’t look good. I always try to put different things together, and I’m a jewelry fanatic because I think it helps make an outfit more fun.
Q: What is your goal when picking out an outfit in the morning?
A: My goal is to look very fashionable always because I love fashion and I work in a clothing shop; I want to look like I’m stepping out of a magazine.
